WARREN HARVEY
Senior Pastor

Warren embraced God’s love in Christ in his early 20’s, about the time he met his beautiful wife, Cathy. They both grew up in church, but God brought them to himself and to each other in faith and marriage, some 34 years ago. After working for six years in education, Warren returned to seminary to complete his Masters of Divinity at Columbia International University. God called him to Apex in 1997 to plant Ambassador, where he’s been ever since, serving as pastor of the people of Ambassador for over 25 years. Warren loves to see people’s lives changed by the love of Christ and power of God’s Spirit through his Word, and to help people walk through the pressures and struggles of life in the strength and joy Christ gives. Warren and Cathy have four sons, who are now grown and married, and enjoy being grandparents. Warren is an avid sportsman, with a love for boating and baseball, hunting and fishing, hiking and biking, and cooking on the grill and enjoying a good meal with family and friends.

J. GREGORY DUKE
Associate Pastor

Greg came to us in the spring of 2025 by way of Alabama where he church planted and pastored for many years. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter and leads the congregation in worship and outreach at Ambassador. Greg’s theological training is from Reformed Theological Seminary and Birmingham Theological Seminary. He is an ordained Pastor in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and was assessed and approved as a Church Planter by Outreach North America. Greg and Courtney were married in the spring of 1995 and are blessed with three adult sons—James (married to Madalyn), Graham, and Elliot. When he’s not playing music with friends, Greg enjoys backpacking, skiing, biking, and just being with people.

RANDY MARTIN
Executive Director

Randy and his wife Julie came to Ambassador in June of 2021 from California where Randy taught and pastored for 18 years. From the first Sunday visit, they fell in love with our church family. Since November 2022, Randy has counted it an honor to serve on staff as the Executive Director. He feels strongly that church ministries need administrative oversight, and trusts that his four decades of ministry has given him the experiences to help his church family in this way. While Randy is a native Californian and a survivor of three major California earthquakes, Julie is totally mid-western, St. Louis born and raised, a die-hard Cardinals fan, and still a baseball card collector! Besides his official duties, he and Julie are pledged servants of the rising generation. They want to see the next generation of families and youth become all that God intends for them to be!

RACHEL KENNEDY
Director of Children & Student Min.

Rachel was born and raised in the Cary/Apex area and has been on staff at Ambassador since 2016. She attended Wingate University and graduated with a degree in Human Services. Her passion for teaching youth and children about Jesus and watching them grow in their faith started in high school when she began teaching a three-year-old Sunday School class and she has never stopped! Rachel is amazingly creative and loves planning fun events (VBS is her favorite time of the year!) and she pursues meaningful connections with each child. She also embraces her role to support and equip parents as they raise up a new generation of followers of Jesus. When Rachel isn’t working, she enjoys baking, crafting and all things coffee!

Ruling Elders

An overseer (elder) must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?  He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil.  Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil. (1 Timothy 3:2-7)

Deacons

Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 3:8-13)
