The purpose of missions at Ambassador is to declare the greatness of the glory of God to those who are apart from Christ, whether across the street or across the globe. To carry out this vision, we promote the following values:

  • Every believer has been called by God to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ and is thereby on mission with God to spread the gospel throughout the world.
  • Every believer has been equipped by God with the message and ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-21); a message and ministry modeled for us by the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Every believer has been sent by God into the world to spread the glory of His greatness. While some may be sent to a particular mission field in a native or foreign land, others are sent into their everyday homes, schools, workplaces, social settings, and communities.
  • Every believer has been called upon to support the mission efforts of the church, whether it be through their tithe, their offerings, their material possesions, their prayers, or even their very own lives.
  • As a church, we are very involved in serving and reaching out to the people of our community:

  • Individuals and families are encouraged and equipped to share the gospel with friends, families, co-workers, and fellow students in their circles of influence.
  • Each year, we host an Easter Festival and Egg Hunt where we are able to serve hundreds of kids and their families from throughout our community.
  • Each year we actively participate in both the Apex PeakFest and the Apex Christmas Parade.
  • Many of our members serve local ministries such as Western Wake Crisis Ministries and Meals on Wheels.
  • Mission Kids, a ministry for 2nd through 6th graders, lives out God’s call to serve through helping others. They strive to cultivate hearts that are passionate about serving while having fun in the process! This group meets at the church one Sunday a months from 3:30-5:00. Check the calendar page for the next scheduled Mission Kids. Each month focuses on a service related activity designed to reach out to different needs/people groups such as orphans, the elderly, the homeless, the sick, the hungry, the military, and even those just born. We have projects that minister both to local organizations in the Triangle and some that will go overseas, bringing both hope and the gospel message with it. We also have a time of worship and a short devotion that ties in with each month’s project. Friends are encouraged and welcome!

Through the work of its missions committee, Ambassador also provides many opportunities for its members to be involved in both local and global missions. We also participate in our denomination's annual Appalachia Mission.

Ambassador also designates a significant portion of its yearly annual budget to support missionaries and missionary agencies both locally, regionally, and internationally. As a church we currently support individuals doing gospel ministry in the following areas:

  • The southeast region of the US
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Turkey
  • West Africa
