The purpose of missions at Ambassador is to declare the greatness of the glory of God to those who are apart from Christ, whether across the street or across the globe. To carry out this vision, we promote the following values:
As a church, we are very involved in serving and reaching out to the people of our community:
Mission Kids, a ministry for 2nd through 6th graders, lives out God’s call to serve through helping others. They strive to cultivate hearts that are passionate about serving while having fun in the process! This group meets at the church on the 4th Sunday of most months from 3:30-5:00. Check the calendar page for the next scheduled Mission Kids. Each month focuses on a service related activity designed to reach out to different needs/people groups such as orphans, the elderly, the homeless, the sick, the hungry, the military, and even those just born. We have projects that minister both to local organizations in the Triangle and some that will go overseas, bringing both hope and the gospel message with it. We also have a time of worship and a short devotion that ties in with each month’s project. Friends are encouraged and welcome!
Through the work of its missions committee, Ambassador also provides many opportunities for its members to be involved in both local and global missions. We also participate in our denomination's annual Appalachia Mission.
Ambassador also designates a significant portion of its yearly annual budget to support missionaries and missionary agencies both locally, regionally, and internationally. As a church we currently support individuals doing gospel ministry in the following areas:
