Sunday School
Every Sunday at 9:00 am we have classes for all ages. Sunday School is a time to grow together in the study of God’s word as well as to build relationships with others in the church.
Covenant Groups
A vital part of building community and strengthening relationships is being involved in a small group which we call Covenant groups. These groups meet in homes and provide opportunities for growth, care and encouragement. They are a vital means of building deeper friendships, growing in faith, sharing needs and prayer requests, and enjoying more intimate fellowship together. Our desire is for all people to be involved in a Covenant group if possible.
Small group leaders are mature, equipped leaders whose purpose is to facilitate the discussion and ministry of the group as a whole. Each group determines arrangements for meeting times, places, childcare and other issues.
For more information on Covenant Groups, please contact the church office at 387-1990.
Women’s Ministry
The women at Ambassador have an ongoing bible study that meets every other week on Monday evenings. There is also a Wednesday morning prayer group.
The women also get together frequently for various activities including fellowship, service and outreach opportunities. These include a spring retreat; a summer bible study; and a holiday outreach around Christmas.
Men’s Ministry
There are two men’s bible studies that meet during the week. One meets every other Wednesday evenings, and the other meets every Friday morning. We also have a men’s retreat each spring.
Sunday Service
We meet Sunday mornings at 10:00 at Penny Road Elementary School in Cary, NC. Our worship service on Sunday morning is intentionally focused on celebrating God and giving him praise, glory and honor through joyful music, heart-felt prayer, and the reading and teaching of his word in a relevant, applicable message. At the same time, we want the person who is exploring the claims of Christianity or seeking to know more about God to have the opportunity to do that in an atmosphere that is welcoming and open to their questions and needs. Here’s what you can expect in a typical worship service that usually lasts about 1 hour and 20 minutes:
Welcome
A friendly greeting and time for announcements
Music
Upbeat and worshipful singing throughout the service including both contemporary music and a few more well-known hymns
Prayer
We often have a time for people to share requests and pray as a congregation
Children’s time
After a short children’s message for Pre-K to 2nd graders, they may go to age-level classes during the remainder of the service.
Scripture
We often hear or read together a portion of God\’s word.
Giving
An offering is a voluntary part of worship for our members. Visitors need not feel they have to give.
Message
Biblically-based teaching that is applied to everyday life.
Fellowship
A time afterwards to gather over coffee.
