Happy New Year!

Can it really be that the first decade of the “new” millenium is coming to a close?  Amazing!  2010 was a year of transition for our church.  It held several significant milestones including moving into our new building and hiring Dan Layman as our new associate pastor.   But it also held personal transitions for many in our church family including job changes, moves, graduations, new babies and saying goodbye to loved ones who passed away.   As we transition together to 2011, we can look back with thanksgiving for God’s unchanging grace during these times, and we can look forward with hope to His ongoing grace to guide and grow us through life’s upcoming triumphs and trials.  In 2011, let us set out together as God’s people at Ambassador to live our lives wholeheartedly for the glory of God and to love one another unconditionally with the love we have received in Christ Jesus.

Resolving to love Jesus and you more in 2011,

Pastor Warren

Thanks to Our Veterans

On this Veteran’s Day, we give thanks to the many men and women of our armed forces who have sacrificially served to protect our freedom, secure our peace, and render aid to those in need.  Please keep our veterans and their families in your prayers and take some time to say thank you to those who have served.

New Adult Sunday School Classes begin Nov. 7

  • Newcomers Class (Room 103) — This class is for those who want to learn more about the beliefs, history, vision and ministry of our church and denomination, whether new to Ambassador or not. Note: This class is required for those who desire to become members at APC.
  • Christ in the Old Testament (Room 101) — Interwoven into the Old Testament accounts of the failures and triumphs of God’s people is the glorious picture and promise of salvation through the coming Messiah. Join us as we unfold key concepts and OT passages that point us to the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Women’s Pottery Trip

Come join the women of Ambassador for a “One Day Retreat” to Seagrove on Saturday, November 6. We will meet at Ambassador at 8 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. After enjoying the picturesque drive through the beautiful backroads we will browse among the wares at Owen’s Pottery, Jugtown, O’Quinn’s, Smith Pottery, or any of the 90 different potteries throughout the region.  Bring your own lunch to enjoy at one of the pottery gardens. On the drive home, we’ll stop and sample the sweets and coffee at Southern Supreme, known worldwide for their signature fruit cakes. Please RSVP to Missy Shearin, missyshearin@gmail.com, by November 1st.
