I appreciate the thought you gave to this blog, and I like the explanation you gave to what each translation was focused on as it was written. Makes it more understandable to me.

I am biased towards the NIV only because my dad was on the translation committee in the 70&#039;s for the OT :) Not every kid can say their dad &quot;wrote the Bible&quot; :) But I had some great summers in Europe since the translation took 4 summers to do, and they were all able to bring their families along...

But I understand your move to the ESV and even tho I don&#039;t have that translation yet...maybe you will prompt me to get one sometime soon...

		<description>Warren, you are a man after my own heart.  I ran into the ESV outside Presbyterian circles...just on my own and fell in love with it.  IMHO, it is the best translation - hands down.  My next would be the NASB and then the NIV.</description>
